The Platzhirsch is a pub and bistro that has enriched the townscape of Bad Arolsen for over 10 years. Since January 2022, under the new management of Nicole Berwinkel and her team, the Platzhirsch is ready to offer you cosy evenings in a pleasant atmosphere. The pub / bistro can be found on Schlossstraße just a few metres away from the Arolsen residential palace. Schlossstraße is part of a 30 km/h speed zone, which means that you can also sit comfortably in the Platzhirsch's outdoor area, along the street and in the courtyard, as long as the weather cooperates.

The Platzhirsch offers its guests a friendly ambience with a lot of attention to detail, warm colours and lots of wood in the interior. The connection to our namesake animal, the stag, is unmistakable and is reflected in many of our decorations. The atmosphere is rounded off by convivial music from the genres pop rock Schlager and charts. Our friendly staff is always ready to take your requests. We offer seating options ranging from small tables to sociable group tables, for an after-work snack or a cheerful round in the evening.

We have a smoking area.

Unfortunately, we can only offer accessible tables in our outdoor area. Our indoor area is accessible via several steps. An entrance to our sanitary facilities is accessible via two steps over the side entrance.
